The rules for labeling goods with the EAC sign have been simplified until September 1, 2023 - GBSI - Global Business Service Information

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has decided on the possibility of applying the EAC mark and labeling to products with information for consumers about the composition, expiration date, information about the manufacturer, etc. after the import of products – passing customs procedures. In this case, the marking must be applied to the product before it is sold to the consumer (buyer). This simplification of labeling can be applied until September 1, 2023.
Also, on the basis of the decision of the EEC Council, by September 1, 2023, the governments of the EAEU countries may establish the specifics of the application of the EEC Council Decision No. 130 of November 12, 2021 regarding the determination of the procedure and cases of submission to customs authorities of conformity assessment documents (information about such documents) when placing products under customs procedures. The peculiarities of the import of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment on the territory of the EAEU established at the national level cannot exclude the obligation to comply with the requirements of the technical regulations of the EAEU.
The decision was made as part of the implementation of the list of measures to increase the stability of the economies of the EAEU states, including ensuring macroeconomic stability, approved by the Order of the Council of the Commission dated March 17, 2022 No. 12. The adopted measure is necessary to maintain a stable supply of goods in the markets of the EAEU countries, against which economic sanctions have been imposed.
