    The government has extended the validity of restrictions on the export of a number of goods and equipment from Russia - GBSI - Global Business Service Information

    A temporary ban on the export of certain goods and equipment from Russia is being extended until the end of 2023. A decree of the Government of the Russian Federation has been signed on this.
    This resolution is necessary to protect the domestic market and was adopted to implement the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 08.03.2022 “On the application of special economic measures in the field of foreign economic activity in order to ensure the security of the Russian Federation”
    In March 2022, the Government of the Russian Federation determined a list of goods and equipment temporarily prohibited from export from Russia and their exclusion.
    This ban applies to 1,600 items of goods, including technological, medical equipment, agricultural machinery. Electrical equipment, turbines, nuclear reactors, fiber-optic cables, certain types of aircraft, radar devices, batteries, metalworking machines and others.
    Their export is prohibited to all foreign countries, with the exception of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)
    The temporary restriction on the export of certain types of timber, waste and scrap steel, tungsten, cermets to unfriendly countries has also been extended.
